VI. Allt sem eitt sinn blómstraði

Það rigndi í dag
og hugur minn flögraði ráðlaus um tómið.

Hægt börðust lungun um loftið
og þungt sló biturt hjartað.

Reykurinn steig upp gegnt dropunum
sem hugsanir sveiflandi í járnum.

Þær klófestu sig um mig allan
og héldu mér í föstum skorðum.

Skýin huldu himininn
og lokuðu okkur inni.

Marraði á milli trjáa
þegar droparnir slógust á laufin.

Langt nær slóðin er litið er um öxl
og þungt er hvert einasta spor.

Sólin fjarlægist hægt handan við skýin
hægt, en ákveðin er hún.

Þungt liggur yfir jörðu
flóðið frá himnum.

Rifbein mín halda þétt í skefjum
anda mínum og hjartslætti.

Brátt kemur langur vetur
og bundin erum við einsömul jörðu.


VI. Everything That Once Prospered

It rained today
and my mind fluttered helpless around the void.

The lungs fought slowly for air
and heavily beat the bitter heart.

The smoke raised against the drops
like thoughts swinging in chains.

They ensnared themselves all around me
and held me restricted.

The clouds covered the skies
and closed us in.

Between the trees it creaked
when the drops hit the leaves.

The trace reaches far, if looked over the shoulder
and heavy is each and every step.

The sun descends slowly behind the clouds
slowly, but surely is she determined.

A heavy weight lies upon the ground
the flood from the heavens.

My ribs enclose thoroughly
my breath and heartbeat.

Soon the long winter comes
and we are bound alone to the earth.
